# Update daisy chaining priority

`POST https://YOUR-NETWORK-DOMAIN/rest-api/placements/chaining/update-priority.do`

Sets the daisy chaining priority for a banner or campaign within a placement: bannerId for a chain of banners, campaignId for a chain of campaigns. A priority past the end of the chain moves the entry last; the answer's priority is the one stored. Changes nothing else on the placement. Requires the DAISY_CHAINING permission and UPDATE on the placement's site.

## Form params

| Name | Type | Required | Example | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| `id` | integer | yes | `4001` | ID of the placement whose daisy chain is reordered |
| `priority` | integer | yes | `2` | New priority value (1-based, must be >= 1) |
| `bannerId` | integer | no | `5001` | Banner ID to update priority for (for banner-level daisy chaining) |
| `campaignId` | integer | no | `3001` | Campaign ID to update priority for (for campaign-level daisy chaining) |

## Responses

- `200` — {success, priority}: the priority stored
- `400` — Neither bannerId nor campaignId, a priority below 1, or a placement without a daisy chain
- `401` — Authentication error
- `403` — The DAISY_CHAINING permission is off, or no UPDATE on the placement's site
- `404` — No such placement, or the banner or campaign is not in its chain
