# Create placement OS targeting

`POST https://YOUR-NETWORK-DOMAIN/rest-api/placement/{placementId}/targeting/operating-system/create.do`

Creates an operating system targeting rule for the specified placement. Supports optional version filtering with comparison operators (e.g., Android >= 10.0). Requires UPDATE permission on the placement and MANAGE_SUPPLY_PRE_TARGETING user permission.

## Form params

| `version` | string | no | `16.-1` | Optional OS version: a version value from the OS versions endpoint (for example 16.-1 for iOS 16.x.x) or its title. An unknown version, or a version on an OS without versions, answers 400 with the valid versions |
| `relation` | string | no | `GREATER_EQUAL` | Version comparison relation — LOWER, GREATER, LOWER_EQUAL, GREATER_EQUAL or EQUAL. Required when version is sent (a version without it answers 400); ignored without version |

## Responses

- `200` — Success
- `400` — Invalid targeting value
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden
- `404` — Placement not found
- `500` — Internal server error
