# Release 148

**Released:** May — July 2026. Release 148 is the **new-interface refresh**. The account and admin
interface gets its 2026 look — twenty white-label colour themes, a layout that works on a phone, and
right-to-left mirroring — and the placement's **Ad Tags & API** card is reorganized so every tag is
built from one set of settings. White-label networks gain a sign-in background and separate light and
dark SVG logos, device-ID macros take their OpenRTB names, and the help center you are reading now
replaces the old help site.

## New features

### A refreshed, themeable interface that works on a phone

Under white-label branding you can pick one of **20 preset colour themes** — each with a light and a
dark palette — or fine-tune your own. The interface now adapts to phones: bottom navigation,
full-screen sheets instead of cramped dialogs, larger tap targets, touch-friendly entity trees and card
grids, and right-to-left mirroring for Arabic, Hebrew and Urdu. Every screen keeps the features it had;
this release makes them consistent and comfortable on any device. See
[Configure white-label branding](https://epom.com/ad-server/docs/guides/admin/white-label.md) and the [interface tour](https://epom.com/ad-server/docs/start/ui-tour.md).

### A clearer Ad Tags and API card

The placement's **Ad Tags & API** card is reorganized around a **Settings** tab. The general controls —
serving **Domain**, ad **wrapper**, **Protocol** (HTTP/HTTPS) and **fit** — live together there, and
every code tab (Simple Iframe, Direct URL, JS tag, VAST/VMAP, email URLs, API URL) picks them up and
refreshes in place, with no page reload. The **Protocol** you choose now applies to every one of them,
including the VAST/VMAP tags and the email and video URLs, which used to be HTTPS whatever you picked;
HTTPS stays the default. Domain and Protocol are also offered on native and application placements.
Response samples are syntax-highlighted, the API request URL is a copyable field that shows every
default, and default pass-through parameters are emitted exactly as you entered them. See
[Ad tags, invocation codes and the API](https://epom.com/ad-server/docs/guides/inventory/ad-tags-and-api.md).

### Sign-in background and SVG logos for white label

Network administrators of a white-label network can set a **sign-in background image** — cover, tile or center — with a
readability scrim and automatic dimming in dark mode, and upload **SVG logos** for the light and the dark
theme separately, plus the sign-in logo. A file that cannot be used is reported on its card. See
[Configure white-label branding](https://epom.com/ad-server/docs/guides/admin/white-label.md#sign-in-background-modes).

### A new help center

Task-focused guides, references, concepts, troubleshooting and per-release notes, kept in step with
the product and searchable in plain language. It replaces the older help site.

## Improvements

- **Device-ID macros take their OpenRTB names.** `$$IFA$$` carries the advertising ID and `$$BUNDLE$$`
the app bundle, matching OpenRTB `device.ifa` and `app.bundle`. Pass them in as the `ifa` and
`bundle` request parameters — or `data-ifa` / `data-bundle` on the Universal JS tag. The older
per-platform parameter names and macros keep working, as deprecated aliases. See
  [Macros](https://epom.com/ad-server/docs/reference/macros.md).
- **One Third-Party Tracking Codes card on banners and placements.** The two different cards are now
the same one, and typing into the code editor no longer jumps focus to the Country field. See
  [Third-party tracking codes](https://epom.com/ad-server/docs/guides/conversions/third-party-tracking-codes.md).
- **Code fields are syntax-highlighting editors** — banner passback code, template and default code,
  and test-page content.
- **Admin Test Pages open from the grid** — an **Open** button previews the selected page in a new tab.
See [Test pages and your ad-serving domain](https://epom.com/ad-server/docs/guides/admin/networks-and-domains.md).

## Bug fixes

- **Site and email placements with no size row can be saved** — the size field is shown, with a clear
  message when it is empty.
- **HTML5 creative file links keep their host** on networks with no separate HTTPS delivery address.
- **Saving a banner without a template, or a placement without an adapter,** no longer sends a failing
  request in the background.
- **Navigating between pages in the new interface** no longer crashes on an edge case in the router.

## Under the hood

Platform upgrades and legacy-code cleanup ahead of the move to the new interface; the incognito-detection
library is updated to its latest version.
