In some circumstances it is preferable not to use the Invocation Codes. Therefore, Epom Ad Server allows you to serve the ads using Direct URL requests, which are able to pass the same parameters as Invocation Codes.

In general, Direct Ad Serving URLs have the following structure:

http(s)://ad_serving_host/ads?v=1&key=&ch=&click=&tz=&t=

Where:

To get a Direct URL just navigate to the Placement you need and switch to the Direct URL tab of the Invocation Codes pane.

Also, you can modify the Direct URL manually by adding parameters to it. For example, an Invocation Code is as follows:

Parameters from that code can be added to the Direct URL.

 • supp_key = "1a1111a1a1a1a11a1aa1a1a1aa11a1111" - corresponds to the key parameter of Direct URL;
 • supp_channel = "some_channel" - corresponds to the ch parameter;
 • supp_click = "http%3A%2F%2Fredirect.com%2Fredir%3Fu%3D" - corresponds to the click parameter;
 • supp_custom_params = {"test":"value"} corresponds to the cp.parName = parValue parameter.

As a result, the Direct URL for the Invocation Code listed above will be:

http(s)://www.adshost.com?&key=1a1111a1a1a1a11a1aa1a1a1aa11a1111&ch=some_channel &click=http%3A%2F%2Fredirect.com%2Fredir%3Fu%3D&cp.test=value

Note!

Both "http" and "https" protocols are viable for the "http" pages. For "https" pages only "https" protocol can be used.
