Sometimes it's the little things that keep your ads running smoothly. Permissions, targeting, necessary integration & compliance updates: Epom DSP 6.9.5 quietly takes care of the stuff you don't want to think about twice.
In short, this release is all about a handful of focused updates. Among them are download permissions for audience data, better traceability in user actions, support for two new targeting options, transformer testing tools, and smarter spend alert logic. Ready to take a sneak peek?
Download Permissions for Audience Data
Now you can define who can download Segments, IFA Lists, and User IDs. A new permission toggle is live under:
Permissions → Other → Retargeting
By default, this is enabled only for Root and Super Admin roles. Other users must have it activated for them to export their own audience lists from segments.

This tool highly benefits ad agencies, as it helps avoid accidental or unauthorized data exports and gives you tighter control over sensitive user data.
Expanded Targeting: YaApp_Android & YaSearchApp
Two new device types — YaApp_Android and YaSearchApp — can now be targeted within campaigns. These are YaBrowser identifiers and are commonly used for Android devices running Yandex-based apps or search tools.

This helps you reach users within apps like Yandex Search or Yandex Browser on Android, which don’t have global significance but are highly active in certain geos like CIS region. Permissions for this are located under:
Permissions → Campaign → Targeting
Timely “Skype → Teams” Migration Completed
As of May 5, 2025, Skype has been officially discontinued. To keep up to date, user management in Epom DSP now supports Microsoft Teams in place of Skype.

All data tied to Skype usernames will now be uploaded using the Microsoft Teams format. If you’re migrating comms or managing account roles, no manual tweaks needed, this happens automatically.
Transformer Validator to Verify Bid Request Modifications
If you’re using Transformers to modify SSP endpoint bid requests, there’s a new tool to make your life easier: Transformer Validator.

This feature lets you test and validate your transformer logic before tying it to the endpoint. Just in case you need to add, remove, or tweak parameters inside a bid request, you’ll now see if it works exactly as you meant it.
Content Taxonomy 3.1: Now Supported
Epom now supports Content Taxonomy 3.1, the latest standard for categorizing ad content types. You’ll find it under:
Campaigns → Targeting → Categories

Older versions remain supported where needed, so nothing breaks. But 3.1 adds updated categories, making targeting more aligned with industry standards.
Logged Activity: See Who Made Changes
User Activity logs now include:
- The IP address from which a change was made
- The Super Admin name responsible for the change
When an ad campaign, creative, or setting is updated, you’ll have a full view of who did what and when. This is especially useful for ad agencies or teams managing multiple clients within a single white-label DSP.

Refined Spend Alerts: No Paused Campaigns
Spend alerts became more accurate. Previously, they could trigger based on spend from inactive or expired campaigns.
Now, Epom DSP calculates average spend only from active campaigns with valid flight dates. This means your alerts reflect real-time behavior, not archived leftovers.
