We had just returned from Ad: tech, New York. Despite the weather conditions, our brave team haven’t missed the event and it was impressive! With mobile and online advertising at the forefront of the conversations over the two days, there was speculation of what the future of marketing will be as we move more toward tablet and smartphone use as well as multi-screen consumption.

Meeting new friends, showing our platform new features, sharing experience: all these make the conference unforgettable.  In only 2 days we met top digital companies, online marketers, agencies and networks from all over the world. And while many out-of-town registrants cancelled their travel plans to New York in the aftermath of the storm, the conference was nonetheless well attended.

Many talks were about mobile. ”Location-Based Advertising” panelist Marcus Startzel, general manager, North America of mobile ad platform Millennial Media, pointed out that “relevancy is being redefined by mobile.” With mobile, the marketer can now literally define and serve ads not only by geography, but specifically by location. It flips the emphasis from content to the context of the user.

The conference probably gathered all world key players in cell phone market, telecoms, IT companies, Ad networks and everyone else connected with mobile business. It could be even more people, if the weather was better.

Looking back, it’s easy to notice how rapidly mobile industry is growing. The event was a great chance for us to meet a genuine cross section of the mobile app ecosystem. The wide range of content on offer is excellent; we’ve made some great business contacts for the future and felt ourselves as a part of technology future.
